Billing & Insurance
Transparent pricing, no surprises.
We believe financial clarity is part of good care. Here's everything you need to know about insurance, cash pay, and our cancellation policy.
In-Network Insurance
Lioncrest Counseling is in-network with the following insurance plans. If your plan is listed below, we will bill your insurance directly and you are responsible only for your applicable copay, coinsurance, or deductible as determined by your plan.
Not sure if your plan is covered? Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask if Lioncrest Counseling or your therapist is in-network. We're happy to help you verify benefits before your first session.
Accepted Plans
- Select Health
- University of Utah HMHI
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- PEHP
- United Healthcare (UHC)
- UMR
- Utah Medicaid — Optum Network
- Utah Medicaid — Fee for Service Network
Out-of-Network & Cash Pay
If you have insurance we are not in-network with, or if you prefer not to use insurance, we offer straightforward cash pay rates.
Using a Superbill for Out-of-Network Reimbursement
If you have out-of-network (OON) benefits through your insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for your sessions. After each session, we can provide you with a superbill — a detailed receipt that includes the diagnosis code, procedure code, and session information your insurance company needs to process a claim.
You submit the superbill directly to your insurance company, and they reimburse you according to your out-of-network benefit level. Reimbursement rates vary widely by plan, so we recommend calling your insurance provider before starting therapy to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits and your out-of-network deductible.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you do so at least 24 hours in advance.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice — including no-shows — will be charged the full session fee. This policy exists because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, and late cancellations make it difficult for us to offer that time to another client in need.
If you have a true emergency, please reach out and we will work with you on a case-by-case basis.
